Rosa Mystica Pre-University College, located in Kinnikambla, Mangalore, is a beacon of hope and empowerment for students, especially those from economically disadvantaged and socially marginalized communities. Established on 1st June 2010, the college emerged from a sincere need felt by parents for a pre-university institution that would continue the educational journey of students graduating from the adjacent high school. Responding to this need, the Bethany Congregation generously provided the infrastructure and guidance needed to begin this noble venture under the patronage of Our Blessed Mother, Mystical Rose.
The college is managed by the Bethany Educational Society (BES), which has been rendering selfless service in the field of education for over 15 years. Grounded in the founding vision of the Congregation, Rosa Mystica PU College strives to offer value-based, holistic education that promotes both academic excellence and character formation. What began as a modest institution with 39 students has now grown into a vibrant academic community of over 250 students, thanks to the visionary leadership and support of dedicated faculty and management.
The college’s journey began under the pioneering leadership of Sr Jessy Rita BS, the first Principal, who laid a solid foundation with her tireless service and commitment to the rural population. She was succeeded by Sr Cicilia Dsouza BS (2015–2018), who diligently worked to uphold the institution's values. Sr Anita Lydia BS then served as Principal from June 2018 to June 2021, steering the college toward progress. Her efforts were carried forward by Sr Sadhana BS, who served from 1st July 2021 to 1st June 2025 and brought fresh energy and vision to the institution. Currently, the college is once again under the able leadership of Sr Anita Lydia BS, supported by a team of 15 dedicated faculty members.
Rosa Mystica PU College provides an environment of peace and discipline despite its location near a main road. The active support of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) has played a key role in promoting the growth and development of the college. True to its mission of holistic education, the college places equal emphasis on extra-curricular activities, which allow students to discover and develop their innate talents. The college has earned recognition in both academic and sporting arenas at the district and state levels. Many alumni have gone on to become educators, professionals, civic leaders, and socially responsible individuals, contributing meaningfully to society.
Guided by the charism of the Bethany Congregation, Rosa Mystica PU College continues to serve the poor and the marginalized, believing that education is both formation and transformation. It remains committed to nurturing a more humane, just, eco-friendly, and inclusive society, and its legacy grows stronger with each passing year.
