Yoga for Health, Harmony and Well-being
Rosa Mystica PU College celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 June 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from all the students.
The Programme was guided by resource persons Mr Umesh Poojari Suralpady and Mrs Vishalaxi Malali from SPYSS, who conducted the session with great care and vigour. The celebration commenced with the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the inauguration of the Programme.
Various yoga asana were performed by the NSS volunteers and Students in the college auditorium. The session highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle among young people.
Addressing the gathering, Sr Anita Lydia emphasized the significance of incorporating yoga into daily life to improve concentration, reduce stress, and maintain overall health. She encouraged students to practice yoga regularly and cultivate healthy habits.
Mr Avil Renil D’Silva the Vice Principal motivated the students to promote yoga and healthy living among their peers and the community. He stressed the values of discipline, self-care, and inner peace that yoga fosters. Class-wise yoga asana sessions were also conducted for students under the guidance of the respective coordinators.
Sr Roselyta BS the Correspondent graced the occasion and encouraged students to embrace yoga as a way of life for better physical and mental well-being.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, inspiring everyone to make yoga a part of their daily lives.
