Cerebrating the talents of young minds at Rosa Mystica PU College

Rosa Mystica PU College hosted its Cultural Fest 2026 on 10 September 2026 under the inspiring theme “Bloom and Flourish.” The event provided a vibrant platform for students to explore, nurture and showcase their diverse talents. A wide range of competitions, including group dance, group singing, solo dance, solo singing, rangoli, fancy dress and other group events, were conducted with remarkable enthusiasm and active participation.

The Chief Guest, Mr Sandesh Nirumarga, appreciated the discipline, enthusiasm and confidence displayed by the students. Recalling his own college days, he encouraged the students to participate wholeheartedly in every opportunity provided to them. He emphasized that participation is more significant than winning, urging them to give their best and showcase their talents without hesitation. He particularly encouraged the students to overcome shyness and inhibitions, reminding them that those who confidently participate today may one day be invited as distinguished guests at similar events.

In her presidential address, Dr Sr Lolita Pereira BS. expressed her appreciation for the remarkable positive changes she observed on the campus after a gap of two years. She commended the students for maintaining a high standard of discipline and observed, “Where there is discipline, there is good culture; where there is culture, there is love.” She further encouraged the students to make the best use of every opportunity, develop confidence and courage, and give meaningful expression to their talents.

As a mark of appreciation for his valuable contribution to the field of music, Mr Sandesh Nirumarga was felicitated during the programme. Sr Anita Lydia, Principal, welcomed the gathering, while Mr Avil Renil D’Silva compered the programme. Mrs Deeksha proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the event.

The Cultural Fest proved to be a memorable, enriching and inspiring occasion, motivating students to step beyond their inhibitions, participate with confidence and courage, and discover their true potential. The celebration beautifully embodied its theme, “Bloom and Flourish,” encouraging every student to recognise their abilities, embrace opportunities and flourish with confidence.
