Drug Awareness Programme –“Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life” at Rosa Mystica PU College

Rosa Mystica PU College organised a Drug Awareness Programme titled “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life” on August 31, 2026, at 12:00 noon in the college auditorium. The programme was conducted by the Bajpe Police Department to create awareness among students about drug abuse and cybercrime.

The programme was attended by Sr Anita Lydia, Principal, along with Durga Prasad Shetty, Head Constable, Anil Kumar, Constable, and M. Maula, Constable, from Bajpe Police Station.

 Anil Kumar  constable Bajpe police station addressed the students and explained the harmful effects of drugs, especially ganja. He urged students to stay away from drugs, avoid accepting unknown substances, and make responsible choices. He shared real-life examples and explained how addiction can affect one’s mental well-being, education, future, and society. He also informed the students about a scanner that would be provided to the college to report information about drug-related activities confidentially.

The officers also created awareness about cybercrime. Students were advised to use mobile phones responsibly, protect personal information, avoid suspicious calls and messages, and immediately report cybercrime or online harassment without fear.

The programme was compered by Sujatha Sanil, who also welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the message, “Police are a source of trust, not fear.” It encouraged students to make responsible choices and contribute to a safe, healthy, and drug-free society.
