Onam Celebration at Rosa Mystica PU College

August 29, 2026 Rosa Mystica PU College celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with great enthusiasm and joy at the Rosa Mystica Auditorium. The celebration aimed to introduce students to the rich cultural traditions and values associated with Onam.

The programme featured a variety of cultural activities, including graceful dance performances and informative speeches highlighting the history, traditions, and significance of Onam. Students participated enthusiastically and added colour to the celebration by wearing traditional Kerala attire, reflecting the cultural spirit of the festival.

Sr Anita Lydia, Principal of Rosa Mystica PU College, addressed the gathering and shared an inspiring message. She emphasized that Onam is not a celebration of caste or class differences but a festival that symbolizes unity, equality, and togetherness. She reminded the students that no one is superior or inferior and encouraged them to respect and value one another.

She further highlighted that celebrations become meaningful when shared with kindness, love, generosity, and compassion. She encouraged students to remain humble in success, care for others, and work together in harmony.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Sawad. Amina Rimash efficiently compered the event and proposed the vote of thanks, bringing the celebration to a graceful conclusion.
